FOR AS LONG AS I CAN REMEMBER...

I have been interested in finding ways to document and express the intersection between our perceived reality and the alternative dimensions that surround us in the same space/time continuum - whether that be dreams of the intuitive subconscious, or ideas stemming from quantum physics or parallel universes. The horizons where these dimensions intersect form the very contours that define humanity in natural, spiritual, and cultural terms. Sometimes this manifests in polarities or opposites, forces that attract and repel, pull apart or merge into a whole through the perfect reflection of its parts.

I am drawn to the shape of the circle, both as a mathematical and ritualistic shape as well as a repetition linking the human eye to the planetary spheres to the lens of a camera and to the curvature of the earth. Growing up around collection of Dali paintings and prints, I was inspired from an early age by the surreal, ethereal and dreamlike possibilities, and by the power of art to give form to the unseen. This way of looking at the world offers an array of symbolism that speaks to the volatile, magical quality of our pivotal evolutionary era.

To that end, I have been seeking to give expression to the quality of our time and universe, increasingly inspired by the blending of art and science and curious about the recurrent synchronicity of sacred geometry - as expressed in Fractals, Pi, the Golden Mean, the Fibonacci sequence, and revealed in aerial and cosmic views, microscopic and atomic schemes, organic and biological substances and processes, artificial intelligence, and even more esoteric spiritual matters.  After years of experimentation with many different lenses and films, I am thrilled to have found a way to arrest these moments of truth in a pure traditionally photographic fashion, yet communicating a very fluid, poetic and painterly universal oneness at the same time.
